i dont know if this is a european propaganda to overrate calzaghe after he win over roy jones but this should stop, roy jones of today is a shell of his former self. if he win, it would be the biggest upset this year or even this decade. this fight is a lose lose situation for calzaghe this fight would done nothing for his legacy whatsoever. people who say roy jones is not shot is maybe calzaghe fan so after he win they would praise him as one of the all time great.

People aren't saying Roy is not a shell of his former self, just that he is not completely shot. FIghters that are completely shot do not look good in the ring period, hence why they are shot. Roy looked good in patches in his last few fights and even in Tarver III, suggesting he still has a little left. It may not be a lot but it is something.

that's something is not enough to beat any elite fighters period. he looks good against who? stop fooling yourself. he's still fighting because of the money. he should have stay retired i dont want to see him lose again. he was a great fighter i want to remember him as he was. after he lose to calzaghe then what is calzaghe one of the best of all time? cmon now.

I agree, I don't think he can beat any elites anymore and I think he will lose a decision to Calzaghe. It is widely accepted that Calzaghe does not have much to gain as Roy is nothing like what he used to be. It's not just the money, Roy wants to convince himself he can still do it. And he has looked quite good in patches of his fights. He threw some very good combos against Trinidad, got some good work done against Hanshaw off the ropes and looked almost like the old Roy against in one round of Tarver III. Still, I would say he is now no more than 50% of what he used to be.

To be fair most of the Calzaghe fans on these boards acknowledge that Roy is well and truly past his best. The only poster I have seen try to claim otherwise is Johny Rebel and that man is a dead set fool.

compare to what he once was yes roy is shot.. and yea he carried tito and has a emssed up bicep muscle but still he was getting tagged alot by tito.. roy is shot, BUT i think, and i hope he has enough to take out Calzaghe.. im going for roy "yall musta forgot" jones
