15 years ago Holyfield would have beat Valuev fairly easy he was way to quick for him back then but he has been past it for almost 10 years he should quit now.

I can't believe it !?!?! While i think Valuevs size is his greatest assit he also has a decent and busy jab with good reach. To beat Valuev Evander will have to be busy and aggressive to get past the jab. Evander will enter the ring looking great but he lost his speed and stamina years ago. But hey stranger things have happened we are talking about the "real deal". My god if he wins he will never retire ....lol.....

I would rather see Ruiz - Valuev III...

At first I thought this was a joke but now it seems like it's true.

Not sure how this fight will go. Holyfield will lose of course but if Valuev is slow enough for old Holyfield then the fight could turn out to be competitive for a few rounds.

He did look decent in some of his comeback fights against boxers who stood in front of him.

Ibragimov was too quick and cautious for old Holyfield, Valuev is not, but it's likely that Holyfield has detoriated even more because of his inactivity.

The fight will probably resemble Valuev's fight against Lyakhovich where an inactive Sergei was little more than a punching bag for Valuev's long jab. I would rather not see that.

It's funny because Holyfield was already past it when a young Ruiz fought him, now Ruiz is also long past his prime but Holyfield still keeps fighting and might get another title shot.

          Heavyweight division at its worst.

Evander Holyfield has to pay a lot of child support or go to jail so i understand him taking this fight.

Honestly I can see Holy winning this fight. Valuev is stationary and to be honest quite horrible. If Holyfield keeps it an inside fight, he could take this one, and I could even see him putting the giant on his back, making him the oldest Heavyweight champ in history. What a way to close the book on his career.

Someone should have taught Holyfield to use a condom.

But if he needs money, why doesn't he take a fight with another old boxer like McCall, Mercer or Moorer instead?

I think this fight is unfair. I dislike Valuev as a boxer, and I may start to dislike him as a person if he goes through with this fight.

holyfield is still not that bad of a fighter. ibragimov's style was all wrong for holyfield on that night.

I had a feeling that Valuev would surprise us with an ‘unconventional pick’ for his opponent. Valuev may have a huge head but it’s obvious that he’s not doing any thinking for himself when it comes to picking opponents. Also, is the WBA even going to sanction this? I’m not sure if Holyfield is even ranked by them! This is just pure b.s. that the sport does not need right now….
