Paulie has very good skills when he's on top form and gave Cotto a great fight. He has the potential to make Ricky look very bad, if not outbox and beat him. I can certainly envisage it. Its not an easy fight to pick.

Hatton doesnt have anywhere near the speed of Cotto

Hatton hits slightly less hard than Cotto but is if anything faster (particularly at 140 lbs) and he throws a lot more punches. Cotto took rounds off which enabled Paulie to stay in the fight.

There seems to be this bizarre myth that Malignaggi is some sort of defensive wizard who will mystically evade Hatton's punches, yet I've never seen any evidence of this. He gets hit a lot in all of his fights but he throws enough long range flashy punches to win a decision. He's obviously good at what he does, but defensive wizardry is not among his talents.

I agree 100% infact it think its more dangerous to bring Floyd snr in now while this fight with Paulie is coming up cause the old version of Hatton is what's needed to beat Paulie comfortably and if snr tweeks to much he could make the fight harder for Hatton and give Paulie a better chance
