Simple, there is NOTHING Cotto can do better then Vargas. But BUT! If Cotto continues to improve the way he was been improving he will get there.

I won't take that away from Cotto. He just gets better and better
I disagree with a lot of that. Cotto is definitely faster. And a lot of those are arguable. Body puncher? Arguable. Agree with Stamina as a push. Footwork and Boxer, arguable. Actually, I might agree with you that they're a work in progress for Cotto but definitely comparable. Cotto's left jab is very, very underrated, and has paved the way for his improvement as a boxer.

It's so hard to tell with Vargas because it was so hard to separate potential from what he actually was.

Funny thread because Feroz is my ALL-TIME favorite fighter and Cotto is my favorite active fighter.
Not a good fight because a prime Vargas is too big too fast too powerful and too skilled for Cotto.

Honestly, if you give Cotto good side to side movement. Ability to slip punches. Him and Vargas would be twins in style. Only Vargas would be a step ahead. I believe Cotto might reach that Lvl.
