      Obviously you don't get it.

Being Ring champ in no way implies that you are linear champ. Being Ring champ means nothing more than you have ODLH's seal of approval.

Every knowledgeable boxing fan knows that the Hungarian Firebird Zsolt Erdei is the lineal champ. The WBO belt has the lineage and it will continue to whether Calzaghe, Dawson, RJJ fans like it or not.

Calzaghe holds no title belt at 175. The Ring belt is not recognized dip****. It's a ****** little trinket given away by a magazine.

I'm not making this **** up for the sake of argument.

Erdei is not the best fighter, not even top-5, but the fact remains he is the linear champ and maybe the lesson is that calling someone a linear champion is ****** and pointless.

ODLH's seal of approval?? WTF? He just bought the magazine a year ago, what about the time when they were giving belts during the 1900's??
Oscar has nothing to do with the history of the RING giving out Championship belts to linear Champs.
WBO....LOL!! It just came about in th 90's....so I guess there were no lineal champs in the 1900's to the 1980's huh?

I think the Ring Belt is the most prestigious. Its certainly better than any ABC Trinkets.

However they ****ed up here. Roy Jones was virtually handed the belt without beating Dariusz. The Ring editor even admitted they ****ed it up.

Having said that, Erdei hasnt exactly been fighting the best guys. So I feel The Ring could take some sort of action in such circumstances.

But then again, maybe Erdie would get bigger fights if he was actually recognised as Ring Champ.

              Its quite a confusing situation.

You're making an ass of yourself, you are wrong.

The whole lineage lies with Dariusz Michalezewski who ruled the division and had the WBO strap. He also won the WBA and WBC belts from Virgil Hill and then dropped them and went back to defending the WBO. At that point he was recognized as having won 3 belts but since he only kept the WBO the lineage continued with that belt to where it is today, in the possession of Zsolt Erdei.

If you're so smart name one other lineal champion in boxing who holds nothing more than the RING belt in their division.

You're the dip**** for your lack of knowledge.........The ring is the most prestigious and oldest championship belt. All others are Corrupt! The oldest Corrupt belt is the WBA......organized in the 1960's....followed by the WBC.........before that World title belts and Championship fights were given by the ring. The WBA, WBC and IBF's influence and corruption lead idiots to believe that they are the true Championship belts.

Darius was never a lineal Champ..........the guy never even left his turf.

I said awhile ago that it would be funny if Erdei and Hugo Garay would fight for a 3rd time.

I personally thought Garay won the first time they fought and the second was very close so I doubt he wants to go to Germany again.

Since Garay recently lifted a vacant belt if he an Erdei were to fight it would "technically" be to become the Unified Linear LHW champion without having to fight one of the top 5 guys in the division.
