The 1st SSM had a tooth ache. Then I heard DLH told Shane to leave Mayweather for himself. Then Shane had a lay off. The 2nd and 3rd I agree with.

Nice list. Want to know what killz me about RJJ vs Lewis thing? RJJ had NOTHING to lose. NOTHING at all. RJJ busted his azz gaining all muscle...Tarver wasn't a good enough reason to move down. Boxerz should NEVER run away from win win situationz. Very unlikey but imagin what beating Lewis would have done for RJJ's legacy

Hopkins-Toney at first was bad timing, as Toney left 160 for good in early 1993, when Hopkins was still a contender on the rise. Later on in 2003, negotations fell apart when they were supposed to fight at cruiserweight following Toney's win over Jirov and Hopkins's win over Hakkar.

Trinidad-Mosley was bad timing also. Trinidad spending 2000 at 154, then leaving 154 for the middleweight tournament. Mosley had just risen to stardom (or semi-stardom) in June 2000 with his win over DLH at 147. I forgot the exact details of the negotiations, or talk, of this fight happening after Trinidad in late 2003 announced he would come back (his first fight being in Oct 2004). Mosley was supposed to fight Mayorga, but Mayorga lost to Spinks at the end of 2003. Mosley then lost to Wright. I suppose a fight could've been made if Mosley had not lost to Winky.

Whitaker-Randall? Randall was at 140 during the mid 90s, and Whitaker at 147. Randall was also a King fighter, and I don't think Whitaker and his team were too happy to deal with King and his fighters after their experiences.

Casamayor became champ at 130 in 2000. Mayweather wasn't too active in 2000 (one title fight, one non-title bout), and was being criticized for his outside the ring problems affecting his ring activity. In 2001, he faced the recognized top threat at 130 in Diego Corrales, then defended against Hernandez and Chavez. I suppose this fight could've happened later in 2001 instead of PBF's aforementioned fights and Casa's defenses against Santana and Joe Morales, but unfortunately it never materialized. Mayweather left 130 after the Chavez fight, citing weight problems.

IMO he should forced Tarver to move up instead...

after paying Vitali step aside money since he was the WBA mandatory.
