i'm going off his skills and potential.

israel and raf took too much out of each other in their fights. i really don't want either of them to meet juanma tbh. it'll be like when marco and erik ran into pac.

And Gonzalez is listed at 5'7 1/2 on boxrec, Lopez is listed as 5'7, Gonzalez also has the longer reach according to boxrec.

The smaller Penalosa was chasing Gonzalez around the ring the whole night, and this was a guy who had reach, height, and youth advantage going for him, what schooling are you guys talking about? Penalosa, wasn't staggered at anytime, he wasn't being pummeled or dropped, in fact, Penalosa wasn't even marked!

Penalosa was getting tagged all night until he caught Gonzalez with that beautiful shot to the body, not being marked doesn't mean much, some fighters just have tough skin. Librado Andrade wasn't marked against Kessler.

On a good day Gonzalez annihilates everyone from 122-126. And many at 118 if he makes the weight. I could see Lopez KOing him, its definately a possibility. But Gonzalez is one of the most under-rated fighters around. Was dominating both Vasquez (GREAT FIGHT BTW) and Penalosa before the KOs. He just needs a lucky break.

I love both Pinoy and Mexican fighters, to be fair though, Baldomir wasn't marked against Forrest or Mayweather. Andrade was not marked after Kessler.

But be fair, Penalosa got outboxed badly for the entire fight until the last second. He never took anything huge, but it was more or less a clinic.

Lesser fighters have marked Penalosa before...and that was during his prime. And you are saying that a prime champion couldn't even give Penalosa a mouse? I thought Gonzales was supposedly "tagging him repeatedly"?.

Outboxing an old man is very easy to do... I agree though that gonzalez just got unlucky with his fights...

If he's Mexican he's being "unlucky" if it were other races they'd be "exposed"
