Antonio Margarito vs. Shane Mosley Heads To January

Margarito by SD. I don't think Margarito will be able to do what Vernon couldn't, and that's finish Mosley off. Yes, Mosley is a bit older now, but he's been in there with much harder punchers than Margarito and has only tasted the canvas once.

The problem will be the workrate and reach advantages that Margarito holds. I wouldn't be shocked to see Mosley pull out a decision, but I think it's much more likely that Margarito prevails.

This thread should be re-named to the OFFICIAL TONY MARGS NUTT HUGGIN THREAD. Dont get me wrong I like Tony and think he deserves a lot more credit than he is given but this is no way a tune up fight or a walk in the park for Tony. He is running a risk and a big one of losing. I doubt he will knoc SS out. Mayorga is a bigger puncher than TOny and SS took them pretty well. I think its gonna be a close fight and a good one.

I want to see TOny fight Shane and if he wins get his payday agaisnt cotto in june/July then go for a rematch with Williams in December Those are 3 big paydays and no one can say **** about having those fights.

Not feelin it. Shane could be stopped for the first time in this fight, he has never faced that type of consistant pressure from a bigger guy who he cant hurt before in his career and at this age it might be too much, it might be WAAY too much!

I cant even root for him because i want Margs still on top for the Cotto rematch so that Miguel can knock em off the top spot!

Shane is a surviver tho, 1st class beard, heart and guts plus he knows how to tie a guy up on the inside if he has too but my money will be on Tony

No way Margs KO's Shane. Not even a knockdown. The key to the fight is Shane's ability to slide in and out. If he can't, it will be Margs by SD. Both have granite chins, neither guy will hit the canvas in this one.

So SSM has been reduced to a tune up fighter!!!!!!!! I am not counting him totally out. Yea, he is older now days but I don't see anyone at WW just mowing him down. This fight will be closer than most of you are predicting.

i think tony should have gotten an easier tune up,for his rematch with cotto,he deserves an easy fight after fighting two champions in a row,i think he should win,but with mosley anything can happen
