I remember a year or so ago I got into it with a friend because he said Kimbo would beat Lennoxx Lewis in a fist fight. Yes, those people used to exist.

Kharma? Ok, given. I don't often think about giving it, as it doesn't mean anything, really. At one point I'd made up my mind to hand out red to some of the bigger idiots here, but there isn't enough red on the planet to cover that quota by half.

The hate-on for Kimbo is because he was given opportunities he didn't deserve. He was a simple brawler given Main Event status on cable TV, but did nothing to credibly build the sport, because he is and never will be an actual MMA guy. Both CBS and EliteXC hyped the guy so hard that he became a symbol of everything worng with Pop Culture ..... he was all show and no go.

The whole thing is insulting to us, so, when Kimbo got KO'd, it was sweet time.

but in all fairness Hatton ran into a ring post ffs

while potentially dangerous .. that's something straight outta the 3 stooges

charging in, caught by punch, head first into the ring post.
Kimbo was out cold from a jab and would've fell into the ring post if there was one, but instead he went head first into the cage and proceeded to get pounded by some slappy looking punches. Hatton at least got up and tried to defend himself.

This is funnier than Hatton because Hatton lost to the best fighter on the planet while giving a good fight while Kimbo got owned in 14 seconds by a nobody...

they were mad at kimbo for the fact that he just came out of nowhere.
instead of embracing the dude for making that sport even more popular they hate on him, thats a reason MMA wont surpass boxing
to many idiots are involved with that ****

eh I dunno man it'll be pretty hard to top a face first collision into the turn buckle

and quick question .. regarding what I bolded

how was Kimbo "out cold"? granted he was no doubt stunned by the first punch, but out cold .. your exaggerating, if he was out cold he woulda landed face first on the canvas, and not even had the ability to brace himself with his hands.

he wasn't out cold, he just got stunned very badly and never recovered from it. which is why he didn't defend himself.

I've seen that too many times to count happening in MMA

fighter gets caught ... dropped, and punched till ref halts the action.

very common occurrence in MMA, believe it or not.

heck the same thing with Noons vs Edwards for example, if you saw that fight.

yes Hatton got up from his turn buckle run in, but I'd still say it was worse, for being more unique

as many many fighters went down more or less the same way Kimbo did

in getting hit, hurt, dropped and pounded out.
