I know pacman has a great left but I'm looking for slightly older fighters. I'm fairly new to boxing and I know very little about most fighters from even a decade ago.

Wow, that had a nasty thud on it. Never seen a Nunn fight but I'm going to have to look into him more.

floyd and pernell had great straight-lefts and SHOULD be included...however, when you talk about impact and fight-changing effect, PAC's is above a notch from those fighters...against fighter his size, he only needs one of those to land...

Nunn's prime lasted 90 something seconds.

            ....Tyson's own did too.

I didn't see that great straight left against Scully...

Maybe I missed it and that's the reason he won 11 out of the 12 rounds...

Apparently that straight left was so good that it was able to make up for the fact that you outlanded him in most rounds.

              Hmm...

I was just going through his record and who's name do I see on there? John Scully LOL. I'll watch it when I get the chance but how you feel about the fight? "ESPN reported the blows as Nunn 373/1291 29%, Scully 389/689 48%. " Does that tell the whole story?

pacman at 122-130 had a crazy straight left he hasnt used it much anymore but that double left jab followed by that leaping left straight was just vicious he threw his whole bodyweight into it like a missle.

look at that timed counter straight left

One thing is that I watched tapes of him, saw his straight left, his good countering ability, so I made sure to keep my hands up at all times, stay focused, and try to pick my shots to punch when he wasnt ready for it. I outlanded him, yes, and he was very busy in there. Good fight overall i thought
