Calzaghe is superchamp. Kessler regular champ. Someone please explain.

WBA has a policy of elevating their champion to 'super'champion if he wins one of the other major belts. Hence Calzaghe became superchampion when he defeated Mikkel Kessler.

Since then Joe has either vacated or been stripped of his other titles. So now he only holds the WBA strap.

So my question is: How can Kessler be regular champ and Calzaghe the superchamp?

They suck balls, really. At one point they had 3 Cruiserweight Champions! Interim, Regular and Super. I swear, they just make this crap up as they go along.

"Right, so if we make him super champ, then give this dude another belt and aution this one on eBay we get 3 times as much money, amiright? Let's do it!!"

In all seriousness, they will probably demote Kessler to interim champion or some **** like that, and Calzaghe be the Regular champion. Then when Calzaghe retires, Kessler becomes the regular champ and the Interim belt is sold at auction.

WBA is having a convention this weekend. I wonder if they'll adress this issue as the rules are pretty bad. It's to obvious that it's only meant to create more sanctioningfees.

Calzaghe can't seriously be paying the WBC commision when he is a the ring belt holder at 175. They'll strip him very soon then push for a unification between Kessler and someone else so they can make him super champ and promote some guys to regular and interim champs

Sanctioning bodies are greedy, money grabbing ****s. That's pretty much it

The WBA don't actually have real rules, they just make masses of belts and give them to random people, they throw darts at divisional rankings to decide who gets a title every month
