That's if somebody really gives a ****, you know? I could care less about their super-uber-special-mega-galactic belts. I think I see a trend lately where top 5 fighters are actually judged by the competition they're facing, not the belts they're holding.

Yea, that's true. I only really consider 1 guy the champion of a weight class. Like to me, Peter isn't the heavyweight champ, Wlad is. Peter is just the top contender.

**** all these damn belts, they just confuse things. I mean, if you take all the ****ty belts into consideration each weight has around 10 "champions", of which only 1 is a true champion.

i think its so they get more moeny when both their champs fight they get double the antioning fees or something like that. never really paid much attention to it anyways, i hear the same thing happened with margaito that he was elavted to the status of super champ for no real reason.

The WBO has emerged from a paper title to maybe the best, the WBC and IBF are right there too...it kind of depends on the weight class - they're all crooked

But the WBA is consistently bull**** all the way through...

The WBA and WBO are the worst. People like Haussler and Lockett were not in the top 25 in their divisions, yet they somehow became mandatories.

The WBC was corrupt to let Mayweather keep the title for so long without fighting a real mandatory, yet stripping other people after a few months.

the wba is slowly losing its prestige, and its all their fault.
they should eliminate that **** of regular champion, and the interim champion is a title that should only be awarded in the special cases that the real champion cant fight for a time. but then both of them should fight to decide who the champion is. but this never happen, and sometimes there is an interim champion just to award a title to another fighter, its a joke.
maybe what boxing needs is a billionaire boxing fan that can buy all four organizations so that way he dissolves them and leaves just one major organization and world title =P ..... ahh its nice to dream..

yeah like ramamaiden said, maybe some rich guy could buy and dissolve al four lol

in our dreams......they will be around for a while unfortunately, but they already lack relevance, IMO the only titles i pay attention to are linear champs, ring magazine belts and undisputed (all 4 belts)

and a fighters resume means more than anything

You know whats sad? The IBO is actually probebly the least corrupt, overall best belt in boxing. yet I will never accept it as a legitimate belt, simply because we would end up having 5 belts in each division. which would be disgusting.

the WBA and WBO belts are by far the worst belts out there, with the WBA in first place. I think the IBF is probebly the best belt, but its still garbage.

it makes me laugh how easy it is to become a 'world champion' nowadays.
