Gamboa Will Be Good Enough To Be A Champion, But Nothing More

I have said it for a long time. Gamboa is great to watch. A lot of skill. But his chin is not the best. I said this when he last got knocked down.

I do think he can become a one, two, or three time world champion. But he doesn't have the potential or ability to unify. But he will always be a top 5 or top 10 fighter at featherweight.

I would think that's pretty good and I think he can achieve more than that if he improves a few things.

Fighters get knocked down man. He just got hit flush and dropped by an elbow and he bounced back up like nothing. This is pretty moronic saying he's not going to go far because he gets knocked down. To me it shows he's going to go even further because the dude gets back up and fights with even more intensity.

He's obviously learning some defense also. Only 2 months isn't going to cure everything, but he actually kept his hands up some in this fight!

Why are people writing gamboa off when he gets hit flush with an illegal shot and still doesn't really phase him since he gets back up less then one second from it like it was nothing at all. Then he beat the **** out of that guy, and that definitely was 9-9 round... ******ed hbo trying to call that a 10-8 round.

            i totally agree with u 100%.
it was a ****ing elbow. and that would hurt so much more than a punch ffs.
he has a pretty decent chin,
i believe gamboa is 1 of the best fighters out there, along with world champions.

Gamboa looked slower in this last fight than he did when he fought on HBO the prior time...

he did do a great job of keeping his hands up but he just got caught.

its hard to say whether its a fluke thing (and he wasnt warmed up properly) or if he does have a weak chin...

given his desired style to fight if his chin is weak he wont stay undefeated for long...gamboa likes to mix it up and basically fight the way that mayweather acts at press events...****y...flamboyant...

so unless he has the chin to do it...he will pay a price.

he looked very impressive to me still...and we all have to remember it was his 11th or 12th fight??? thats still VERY young as a pro...no matter what your amatuer record is...he has lots of time to grow and mature into an even better fighter.

He was a little bit hurt by a hook and the ellbow did the rest. Or am I wrong? Just seen a bad quality video.
