At least I am not the only one that watches boxing... Who is Chad Dawson? He got his ass whupped by Glen Johnson.. Tarver is a tested veteran with skills.. Dawson is nobody. Tarver has fought them all. Tarver has beat Johnson and Jones.. Dawson is a new jack wanna be. It kills me when these paper made- network hyped wanna bes come in disrespecting a proven talent and veteran like Tarver. Everybody jumps on the bandwagon cause someone with a little be of athleticism handily outboxes a bunch of bums and now everyone thinks he is going to handily beat a proven champion like Tarver. I can understand the media trying to sell this wolf ticket but true boxing fans shouldnt ride that bandwagon. Give Tarver his respect. He has a much better resume. Dawson is a nobody.. the one fighter he fought (Glen Johnson) he barely survived that. If Tarver shows up he kills Dawson. Dawson's only chance at victory is to run all night not vice versa.

i just watched johnson v dawson and tarver v woods again.. and as I see it...it will be a tactical fight ...but i feel tarvers bread and butter straight left will damage dawson severly along with the left uppercut..also tarvers unorthodox defense..(bowing over...shoving...etc) will give chad problems also chad doesnt even have very good defense..leaves his hands down and doesnt move his head.tarver leaves his hands down but is much better at eluding punches

Tarver is done, he's 39 turning 40, and no longer the fighter he once was. Tarver has about three more good fights left in him, and that's it, before he starts looking like a washed up fighter. As for comparing resumes, Dawson is 26, his career is just starting. Now there is some question marks about Dawson and his boxing ability, and I'm not saying Dawson is guaranteed to win because Tarver has a very good chance of beating Dawson, I'd say a 50% chance. But in boxing we also need to look at the future not just the present.
