I read on the WBA's site that it was Lennox Lewis' idea to have super champs. And like somebody said in the other thread, they stripped him right after he won the goddamn thing. Funny. The WBC seems to get hated on the most but this **** wit WBA super champs is just ****in dumb. Like I said in the other thread tho, at least we likely won't see Marg fightin a pointless mandatory.

According to the rules of its bylaws, under special circumstances the organization can appoint its current world champion in a division as Super Champion, an accolade normally bestowed upon unified champions who hold the WBA belt along with any other. The WBA felt that Margarito met those conditions to merit the Super Champion status."

I have been so sick of these super, regular, interim champions for a while now..this just adds to the bad feelings

I foget who came out with this idea (I think it was DLH) but they need to make an NFL/NBA type style league for boxing...one champ in each div...have some way to determine who fights who and cut out all the BS....
