Andre Berto To Move To 140? Against Paulie Malignaggi?

Berto's body don't really look like it's bulid for 140lbs.

He just has a good amount of muscle for his size. I'm sure if he loses sum mass he can make 140 easily. He sure has the height for it.

It seems that a possible move to junior welterweight has been discussed between WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto and his promoter Lou DiBella. Because Berto can make weight for welterweight with such ease, it's believed that Berto can get down to 140-pounds. [details]

berto is too big for 140. also why would he fight malignaggi? he should try and get a fight with hatton or bradley.

Berto might make sumthin happen at WW later on, but right now he gets it from any of the top guys. Assumin it's true he can make 140 comfortably, maybe he should do it til he can't stay there anymore. I agree that the main WW's would **** him up at this point.

Damn i like Berto but it seems like he dont want it with the stacked 147lb division. If the kid was given a WORLD TITLE they should force him to fight TOP GUYS. Its like hes still a prospect on the rise, and he is. They shouldnt have given him a world title/

Huh ? Andre Berto has fought at Jr Middleweight in his early career, how the hell is going to move down ? and why not fight Luis Collazo ? this is a strange choice indeed and a bad one at that.

Great move if he does it, there's some descent fights down at 140, but more then less theres experience.. Dominate 140, build a stable, define your skills become a champ and a littler bigger name, then 3,4,5 yrs later. Take that leap and if Cotto, or Marg or Williams Or Joel, or Pac or Floyd are around fight one of them.. thats what i would do!

That's kinda qiestionable. Hatton is a bigger money fighter than Malignaggi....and an easier fight for Berto.

Berto would crush Hatton at this point. Malignaggi would give Andre some problems with his speed and movement.
