This might not be a bad idea.. but who is he going to fight?
The best fights for him are at welterweight. Also, what if he kills himself making weight?
That's a lot of muscle Berto has packed on.

Berto could lose a lot of strength and stamina at 140 but he may be still young enough to do it.

                  never liked him

                  I never liked Berto as a fighter/boxer
he is a joke to me.

i think the move to 140 is good and i actually think Paulie will beat Hatton in
November and then will lose a crappy fight against Berto.

Berto will eventually get startched by a jr.welter like bradley kind of a wild kid.

Berto isn't bad by any means but i hate this promotion game.
dont tout him like some bad ass second coming of ray leonard jsut cause he is a nice kid. he is okay, he proved that to me against forbes.

Forbes won four rounds in that fight. not only that forbes who is a good light weight fighter is 34 years old and has been recently smacked around by an aged oscar should have been easily taken by Berto, but of course he wasnt.

I will make another point in saying that yes Berto did win but look at how he won.
his shots barely landed all i saw was him grazing Forbes arms and shoulders 80% of the time. he is not a good fighter, and he will never be a good fighter because he is spoiled by his promoters.

this whole buisness of building a prodigy is nonsense and its sad to see that lasy years success in boxing has not been carried over to this year.
short of Diaz vs Katsidis and obviously Cotto Vs Margarito most fights so far have been touted as risky, and dangerous but have been nothing more (to the real fans) as just a gimmick.

why's he going backwards? he shouldn't have got a title at 147 then.

He'd dominate 140, although him and tim bradley would be close. U can forget paulie and hatton, he'd have those guys for breakfast.

Actually this is a good move for Berto since he really has NO chance against almost ANY of the top 10 ranked WW.
