I never said Roy ducked Benn or Benn ducked Roy because I don't know the facts which is why I created the thread.

But in Roy's words Collins and Benn wanted to fight him but when he made offers they suddenly were not interested in the fight. This is his opinion and I'm looking for someone to dispute it with evidence. I just want to try and find out what really happened.
You'll be trying for years mate. No one will ever really know what happened. It comes down to personal opinion.

And the so called offers that Roy was presenting may have been low-ball. He was never known for his negotiating skills in his prime.

    "60-40 I Whoop Yo Ass!"

      What?
Umm once again Gerald was a vegetable by the time that fight was feasible. Stop bringing him up in these examples.

"Roy didnt wanna come have a tear up with me when i was Super Middleweight Champion. He took a safe fight with Hopkins at Middleweight instead."

After the McClellan fight though, he admitted that he would probably lose to Jones cos he didnt have the fire anymore.
        Hypocrite much?

How big a name was Bernard Hopkins at the time Roy Jones fought him in comparison to Nigel Benn at the time?

He wasnt a big name at all. Hadnt fought anybody or won any titles. The win only becomes excellent retrospectively considering what Hopkins went on to achieve. But he was green at the time.

Whilst Benn was the most dangerous fighter in the world, two weight champion, had been to America and smashed a few Yanks to bits.

No question Benn was a bigger name and a better fight.
