Yeah, Joe did the exact same thing that Bernard Hopkins did.

    They were both scavengers.

Yeah, I've always said he should have been GBP matchmaker. He always knew who to fight...with the exception of Kovalev. Even then, he really wanted Stevenson but Kovalev was the fight that could be made. I still think Cal and Hops are great fighters but facts are facts.

I never buy this argument. Just about every great fighter has faced other top, primed opposition but when we get to names like Jones or Mayweather, we have to make excuses why their lists of donts are bigger than their lists of dos.

I'm sorry if that offends but its just not good enough. Eubank was one of the biggest names in the sport, Jones should have traveled to the UK. The same goes for Benn.

It's nothing to do with making excuses. It's circumstances. Boxing politics etc. Some big fights just weren't viable. It's as simple as that.

Eubank wasn't one of the biggest names in the sport. And he's admitted on numerous occasions that he was just content to defend his WBO belt on Sky and ITV. He's also said that fighting Roy at his peak would have been suicide, and he'd only have gone through with it if Roy had been his WBO mandatory. Obviously, that was never going to happen. Because the WBO didn't even have Roy in their rankings. They focused on the lower level fighters of the division in the same way that the other Org's do.

You say he should have travelled to the U.K. to have fought him. But again, take into account what Eubank said, and look at the logistics and the timelines.

A Benn fight would have been great, because unlike Eubank, Benn would have relished a fight with Roy. But there were too many obstacles to overcome. Benn was with King and Warren, and his fights were shown on Sky and Showtime. But Roy had an exclusive contract with HBO, and his handlers, the Levin's, wouldnt tie in with King for more than one fight. And then there would have been the purse to discuss.

Unfortunately, fight fans frequently get robbed of seeing great fights. And that's because there's too many organisations and belts etc. It's a ruthless business. I'd like to see something in place where unifications have to happen.

Roy gets a hard time, but a lot of people aren't aware of the circumstances. Roy moved up to LHW when he couldn't unify at SMW. Benn held the WBC and Frankie Liles held the WBA. But Frankie turned down a career high pay day to fight Roy, which has been confirmed by both HBO, and Frankie's own manager.

                  That's right.

The various Org's and their belts are absolutely killing the sport. We now have Org's who have 2 different belts per division. We have regular champs, super champs, and silver champs etc. It's a joke.

Respected sports writer, Thomas Hauser, said it best years ago. He said:

"How can we have 4 different organisations? We could end up with 4 different HW champs. That would be like having 4 Presidents or 4 Kings of England"

Three main Orgsnisations were more than enough before the WBO were formed.

Joe struggled with Robin Reid and he was dropped by Byron Mitchell and Kabary Salem.

As good as he was, he was always relatively easy to hit, especially with right hands.

                    Roy was faster.

                    He was more accurate.

                    He had better reflexes.

                    He had better timing.

He had a bigger repertoire of punches.

He had genuine one punch knockout power in either hand.

                    Wake up!

Joe wasn't schooling any version of Roy who was peak at SMW.

                    It's a fantasy.
                    Roy was faster

Why have you posted a gif of Roy from when he was almost 40?

A gif that shows 4 punches where only one connects clean?

                      Are you for real?

This is what Joseph would have been facing in his prime:
