The timing was wrong on that one and then when Jones offered a fight to Benn in the mid 1990s Benn was asking for too much money.

Well no because Roy was fighting at Super Middleweight when he was offered the Benn fight. He moved back down to fight Hopkins instead. That may sound like a better fight but Hopkins was green and Benn was a beast at the time.

Jones wasn't fighting at super middleweight, he wanted to fight at middleweight, he was fighting in over the weight bouts that any young fighter would do, he moved up to super middleweight after the Hopkins fight.

don't present facts if they don't support diggler's arguments.

Digglers still rambling on about all the UK fighters Roy apparently ran from. LOL.

In Benn's autobiography, he doesn't say much about Jones from what I remember.

The fighter that Benn almost fought more than once was Michael Nunn.

Nunn was supposed to fight the winner of Benn-Eubank 2, but it was a draw so neither of them ended up fighting him (especially because of the Don King agreement going sour).

Benn was offered a choice between Nunn and McClellan. He took the fight that offered more money.

Then Nunn came over to the UK and fought on the same card as Benn, but he ended up losing, so again the fight didn't happen.
