I said it was what swayed it for me. Cotto was picked by many to dispose/expose Tony forever. None of those fighters were favored to beat Cotto to my knowledge. Tony also knocked out another beltholder as well. What Warp posted has great validity and I wouldn't upset if it was co-foty.

However, the Vic fight hasn't even happened yet, and none of Mijares opponents were undefeated beltholders.

He KO'd Cotto, nuff said indicates to me that regardless of what else happens in his year, he gets FOTY because he KO'd Cotto, but maybe my interpretation was wrong?
