Kelly Pavlik Plans To Quickly Test Hopkins' Age

If Pavlik wins either a sound UD or KO, CalSLAPPY would be the biggest ***** if he doesnt fight him.

The Hopkins/CalSlappy fight IMHO was very controversial and thought Hopkins at least earned a draw if not a SD victory.

CalSLAPPY is just hoping Pavlik loses so he doesnt have the "GHOST" on his back anymore, but if Pavlik pulls it out with a resounding Victory, i still think CalSlappy will run......


on a side note- Hopkins is a sure fire, first ballot HOF'er and eventhough he still has some gas in his tank, i think he should have retired after the Tarver fight so he could have gone out on a good note....

Trying to get to bhop early isn't the best idea.

If Pavlik tries coming forward early throwing recklessly he will get hit with right hands and miss very often possibly tiring himself later in the fight, No matter who you are missing punches often takes the stamina out of you.

Hopkins argueably beating Calzaghe says he still has what it takes to beat Pavlik.

I didn't mean come in an throw wreckless. Pav isn't a wreckless fighter in that respect. I meant coming in and using pressure for 3 minutes of every round. Never give Hop time off, use his jab and strong combos, thus wearing him down round by round. I highly doubt you will ever see Kelly backing up in this fight. Not wreckless, relentless pressure with pop to it.

Personally i feel Hopkins made Joe look bad like he does to all his opponents.

The jones fight will answer if Calzaghe's faded in anyway.

Even if Hopkins hurts him with that counter right, I doubt he has any finishing abilities any more. Pavlik by KO or wide UD with maybe a few exciting moments for Hopkins.

If he plans on throwing 100 punches a round. He's gonna lose. Pavilik is not fast, so all that will happen is he will poorly miss shots. I 'm starting to believe this will look like JOnes vs that guy the Prince. Bernard might get this cause there strategy sounds like they will be completely out of gas by the 9th round. Bernard diesn't really start fighting til like the 5th. I got Hopkins by a possible K.O.

Pavlik will not try to get to him early, but make Bernard work hard early. Pavlik will be doing what he always does. He will set a high pace and start chipping away. I don't think you will see Pavlik get reckless in there. He would never try that against someone like Bernard.

What Pavlik is basically saying is that he will not allow himself to fall into the B-Hop trap. He is going in to fight his fight and try his hardest to not allow Bernard to set the pace like Bernard did early against Joe.

And even if this wasn't dillusional, throwing 100 punches per round and being gassed by round 9 (which he won't be) - still has him, conceding he loses the last 3, winning.
