Seriously, im not excited about anything, i mean, cotto/margarito exceeded my expectations and i really enjoyed that fight. Darchinyan/Mijares is going to be awesome, Jones/Calzhage might be OK, Pavlik/Hopkins should be alright, but our superfight this year is some wack **** with DLH/Pac, which is one of the dumbest fights in recent memory (along with another DLH fight, DLH/PBF 2).

This year just wasnt that good, it just feels like alot of good champs didint fight each other.

Well, ESPN has surprised us with some great fights. The 3 prospects, Angula, Kirkland, and Gamboa have been stepping up with good competition. Great fights off the top of my head

      Vazquez/Marquez III
      Pacquiao/Marquez II
      Dawson/Johnson
      Cotto/Margarito
      Arce/Concepcion
      Marquez/Casamayor

that fight has to actually happen.

Vasquez Marquez 3 was the ****, im pissed off i forgot that fight!

I think it just has alot to do with Lineares being hurt, Guzman not making weight and just the fact that i feel alot of fights got left on the table.

Abraham/Pavlik would be awesome, but i just hope its actually in range to happen.

I'll agree with the original poster. while 2008 started off hot (the first 7 months)

I personally found Guzman missing weight, Pavlik-Hopkins .. and of course the mega Dream fight of the year Pac/DLH to make 2008 lose it's momentum.

the above PPV fights actually give me negative enthusiasm .. if that's possible to have.

**I don't consider it a good thing when a boxing website refers to the biggest fight of the year as

"a Match up being groomed for nothing more than a sideshow to bring in a lot of money from PPV sales"

I know it's pro sports, and money is a pretty big factor, but if boxing ever wants to be taken seriously and on a mainstream level that above quote is embarrassing to admit for the so called biggest fight of the year ... if you really think about it.
