So easy why bother with a manager or lawyer at all??

All the fighters have to do is to study the contract of a "satisfactory fight which both or either had had in the past and, more or less, by mutual agreement, insert the same clauses, just allowing for "local conditions".

I'm not in favour of fighters negotiating their own agreements without at least the watching brief of an experienced lawyer. This is what may have happened here, with Jones' account being the bare details.

To many imponderables are involved in boxing promotions not to have exeperienced legal assistance.
