I don't think he's ordinary but I'm not sure if he's ever gonna reach true elite level. His defense is definitely creaky but he's got a good enough chin to take punches. At WW, and probably JMW too. Pavlik's? No.
I think he's a solid fighter who maximises his physical advantages, without being truly exceptional at any one thing.
I think Quintana was basically a bad night, a bit like Mora and Forrest.
I think he's an interesting fighter - not because of his abilities but his physique, and how he's apparently able to, and going to continue to, fluctuate within weight classes. I'm really curious to see how his future is going to develop.Comment

Paul Williams is the most overrated fighter in boxing
- he's slow
- **** defense
- blocks punches with his face
- he's dumb
- looks like a crackhead
- can only be successful picking on smaller fighters at 147
- he might have some succes at 154....but he will be a FAILURE at 160 or 168.Last edited by WLAD OWNS; 09-30-2008, 08:06 PM.Comment

seriously what is he good at he has a high workrate and a decent chin and he has physical advantages in height and reach but apart from that he has a poor defence he is not a big puncher at all when you consider he is probably a 154/160lbs fighter he is not a very intelligent fighter either and he proved his limitations by getting his ears boxed off by Quintana first time around
Williams is not a great Boxer eitherComment
