What do you like about Joe Calzaghe?

Not the biggest fan, but I like his hand speed and the way he adapts constantly. That's what makes him a great fighter imo.

I think this is the reason he is so hated. Adaptability is such a subtle attribute to have and is quite difficult to identify. People can watch the guy and not realise how good he is at identifying how to beat an opponent and almost immediately implementing an effective fight plan. All people see is his opponents all of a sudden looking like ****. Lacy and Kessler are the obvious examples of this.

Why do people thinking joes an attractive looking dude? Cause joe says he is? I'm not calling joe ugly or anything, but I've talked to girls and they say that Kessler is better looking and I'd have to agree with them. Calz looks kind of goofy to me, but he is one hell of a boxer.

I think it's like this.

Kessler looks perfectly fit and not beat up in the face, he's tatoos are kinda suiting. Some girls like that, some girls don't.

Joe looks more or less like the good looking type, you'll find in a bar or something. He's not over mucle pumped, he's just a casual guy. He too has a pretty good style in cloth. My girl would like Joe more than Kessler. But I think it's all up to the girl herself, which means there's no true answer.

i'm not a fan of Joe but i respect his ability and his accomplishments. I do like watching his fights also.

I think he's a pretty awesome natural boxing talent. The way he mixes up his punches to fool his opponents, his speed, movement and angles. At his best he's one of the most fluid fighters there is. He also always comes to fight.

In fairness, if Calzaghe fails to impress you in his fight against Kessler then you probably don't like boxing. If you watch that fight and conclude that Kessler suddenly looked like **** you must not be watching Joe very carefully, because its pretty clear what he's doing. Boxing Kessler's ass off.
