              Liston's handspeed was rather average. Foreman's handspeed was on the slow side. He had good footwork though (different from footspeed).

                I've seen some Pavlik fights from a few years ago and he looked quite a bit faster than he does now. Could've been the opposition, or maybe he didn't throw his punches with as much power then.

                Foreman also looked faster against Chuvalo early in his pro career but then again Chuvalo could make anyone look fast.





                I agree with Thread Stealer about Liston, he doesn't look as slow in 1958 against Bethea and Whitehurst but overall he was rather slow compared to some of the other heavyweight champions (especially Ali).
