Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Juan Manuel Marquez

There's been several discussions about floyd vs pac seeing as they are closer in size than dlh and even rumors that floyd will indeed come out of retirement and face him should he win dec 6th. But with his impressive 135 debut what about JMM? Floyd and Marquez are also similar in size and could pose bigger problems stylewise.

Anyone think if Floyd unretires its possible 4 floyd to snub Pacquiao in favor of Marquez?? And if Marquez found a way to pull off the upset would it propel him past Pacquiao in both p4p and atg rankings despite his head to head loss??

Pac brings more money. Therefore Floyd would go after Pac before JMM.

Mayweather would win. I think he would stop JMM. They're not really similar in size, Floyd is reasonable welter now and JMM a very small LW. Mayweather is also the more skilled boxer. If JMM could win though he would certainly go to P4P #1 in my eyes, it would be an amazing victory.

Floyd is more defensive. I wouldnt neccesarily say "more skilled" JMM is a beast in the ring. His skills are actually quite impressive. Difference is, JMM focuses on stalking and attacking his prey in a tachtical manner, while Floyd focuses on not getting hit, while racking up points throughout the fight.

JMM is very good I agree. I rate Floyd as being more skilled than any boxer in years though, he's excellent in all regards IMO.

No doubt, but he is regarded more for his defensive skills than he is for his offensive skills. All though they're there, he seems reluctant to use them.

I would say he seems relucant to use them at the higher weights.

                    Intresting matchup..

                    I think Floyd takes it.

I just keep remembering JMM trying to unload on Pac and getting caught & dropped with that counter left.

Then again it all depends on how each fighter decides to fight...even still, it's a good match-up.
