Larry should stay. He doesn't talk like an elitist like Kellerman with stories of boxing's history. Larry's opinions come from the opinions of ordinary fans. He'll tell you if a fight is boring and not bow down to the hype of the promoters. Unlike, Kellerman who seems bias to Golden Boy fighters.

What makes them classic? Lampley who always call the fight wrong giving fighters credit for punches that don't land or saying fighter A landed a punch when it was actually fighter B who landed the punch with the opposite hand that Lamplay called. Merchant who gives ****ed up interpretations of some fights because he only likes one style of fighting. Yes they classicly ****ed up.

Longevity doesn't always mean they are good. NOw you have a point of who would they be replaced with.

The things yo just mentioned might be a reason why they keep him he will be with hbo until he dies. he's part of the hbo family and has been for years. An hbo show is not the same with lamply or merchant even lederman is a trade mark for hbo. Everyone looks foward to merchants post fight interviews i know i do!

i hate when people complain about this ****. Are you not watching the damn fight or something? you want exact annoying play by play maybe we should go back to the old days and jus listen to fights on the radio. Lamply has the best voice in the business and brings great drama to fights! Lamply is above all boxing commentators. And FYI he's a telivision broadcaster he's not suppose to call it like if he's talking to someone that's watching the fight with theirs closed and depending on lamply to tell them whats going on.
