i understand the dilemma. but thats what happens when you move up to a weaker divison. he will become a mandatory of theirs sooner or later and have to fight these paper belt holders. i just hope he fights best bum possibleComment

for what it's worth isn't Taylor's fight vs Lacy listed as a WBC Eliminator?
so there's that, plus Super Middle isn't stacked with mainstream names.
Taylor's choices are either Bute, Kessler or the Froch-Pascal winner
since Jermain's already fighting in an Eliminator .. why not take on the WBC champ after that?Comment

kessler will be a tough fight for jt, but bute has not beat anyone worth **** to say he will beat taylor. froch may be a good fight, but froch himself has not been in with anyone to say he beats taylor either. i'd like to see these fights, and the only one i can not favor jt in is kessler, and for me it's to close to pick.Comment

Hard to be sure but it seems the OP is taking the piss at Taylor's camp for their reasoning behind turning down a Froch fight for the WBC strap to take a non-title fight with Lacy instead. If that's the case, I get it, but disagree with the logic behind it.
If Taylor beats Lacy - which he should; I just rewatched Lacy/Calzaghe and if JT can put half as much leather on Lacy as Joe did, Left Hook is going to be Left for Dead - then he has to decide if he wants to potentially take a smaller payday to go chasing after a belt, or float between 160-175, fighting big names for big paychecks.
Like someone pointed out, his fight with Lacy is a title eliminator for the WBC, so fighting the Froch/Pascal winner would be an easy arrangement and probably the least risky belt to go after outside of Inkin's WBO strap.
However, Kessler/Taylor would be the most lucrative fight in the division. Definitely bigger than Lacy/Taylor is, so I don't see why Taylor wouldn't take it. He fought two fights with Pavlik for big money despite the risk involved; I can't see him turning down decent money for the chance to redeem himself against the best SMW in Europe.
Taylor/Bute would even be marketable given the North American angle.
Taylor not fighting a non-title holding Froch because of money is irrelevant when discussing a potential Bute/Kessler matchup. Froch's name doesn't hold the clout of either man, at least not yet.Comment

Taylor should fight Froch after Lacy. After that theres many options. third fight with Pav for a title at 168. unify the division. fight for the ringbelt with Kessler.
awesome possiblites.
would to see williams challenge him in 2010.
the SMW is all for Taylor to take.Comment

free belt up for grabs! i just watched inkin-zuniga. or should i say the first 3 rounds and the last 3 rounds because thats all there was for some strange reason on the *******. i'm not even sure inkin deserved to win this fight. zuniga clearly outworked/outlanded him. inkin landed about 3 punches a round and threw about 10. zuniga deserved at least 4 out of the 6 rounds i saw. did inkin dominate rounds 4-9? i highly doubt it the lackluster way he was fighting. and where are these mystery rounds? probably don't want to show them cause inkin is getting his ass kicked. they probably wanted to have this fight 2 miles underground where no camera light could ever reach. i guarantee this inkin guy will never fight anybody of note unless he's cashing in bigtime. wbo belt is now a hostage. don't go to germany if your a nobody you will lose.Comment
