Then Cotto should fight Berto in early 2009, a fight I think Berto actually wins. When Cotto goes down, the Margarito/Williams fight could happen because Berto will definetly duck Margarito!
You buggin (highlighted comments)...but to each his own though.

As it stands now, Top Rank are trying to secure a Clottey vs Cotto fight Feb 14th from the press release I read over the weekend. Dibella is not putting his prize in with someone like Cotto just yet. He's fighting Collazo next as a mandatory.

There is no reason why this fight shouldn't be made, **** Arum for not wanting this fight. Honestly I rather see Margarito-Williams II then a rematch with Cotto. If the Williams fight doesn't happen who do you see Tony fighting next? Clottey is still a possibility if he doesn't fight Cotto first, Berto ain't getting near Margarito, he would get pulverized. So who's next for Margarito?
Mosley isn't gonna be the b-side to a double header. The double header will be a tune-up like fight that will lead into Margarito/Cotto which is why Mosley doesn't want to be a part of it.

So Mosley isn't pussing out of the fight. Arum has other plans. Both guys will fight someone that's dangerous but not dangerous enough to derail the rematch.

So I doubt Clottey will fight either one. They will find some bums that will make both look good for the rematch.

I dunno why Arum would put Cotto in with Clottey... clottey is a dangerous guy and capable of upsetting cotto...

I thought the same, but at this point, Cotto is either gonna be the fighter he's always been or only get better.

I still think Cotto beats Clottey, but it won't be easy (or pretty for that matter)

Im thinking its more Arum that doesnt want the fight with Shane. Theres too much to lose but not much to gain. And like someone else here said, if Marg was to say hey Shane, lets fight, Shane will not back down. It seems the TC just dont like Shane

I don't think Oscar'd beat him unless he boxed and moved all night. He can't stand with Margarito.

oscar would beat him, margarito has never tasted a punch from anyone with the power of de la hoya..and de la hoya has an iron chin himself..id give it to de la hoya by late tko or decision..margarito is a very amatuerish fighter, he just comes forward and throws punches in bunches and breaks people down over the course of 12 rounds..but a ring smart fighter with a good chin and solid jab will have no problem defeating margarito..in my opinion he is the most overated fighter in boxing at the moment
