Mayorga fought a much more disciplined and skillful fight than I thought he would.

Mayorga looked good in the fight, he fought his style fight and i had the fight ALOT closer than the HBO crew. Most of the reason being because Shane was so inactive in the middle to late rounds.
What I saw happen was that Mayorga tried to go for the kill, gassed out, and got caught. The ending KO was crazy, i've never seen that happen before. Mayorga was looking right at Shane as he rushed across the ring and didn't budge at all, he must've still been dazed because he looked like a deer in the headlights, followed by looking like a deer that got ran the **** over.

I agree. Mayorga has gotten as much out of his act as he could have. But the truth is he's no longer a top ten fighter and does not belong in any major fights after this. I'm sure he even knows that himself. I can't blame him for it at all. But to claim he still has something to offer in terms of beating a top fighter is complete bull**** at this stage of his career. He's been stopped by Trinidad, Delahoya and got KTFO by Mosley tonight. He beat Vernon Forrest and that will always be his claim to fame. He'll never recapture that glory.

Yes he did, I'll give him that. But he obviously can no longer take a punch.

He got stopped by a guy who fought most of his career at lightweight. He had 10 lbs on him and still got stopped.

Have you ever seen a Mosley fight before this? Shane initiates a lot of the clinches against everyone, he tries to smother shots on the inside with the clinches, he gets on the inside and instead of throwing punches he puts his arm so his opponent can't throw anything and if they do their arms just get tangled. Watch more than one Mosley fight before you agree with the HBO crew in calling Mayorga John Ruiz.

That is inaccurate. Shane Mosley is in a lot of clinches because he is usually the smaller fighter, trying to come forward, and people want to try and impose their size on him. Shane gets tossed around, he is not the one initiating clinches with bigger men.
