Shane Mosley Knocks Ricardo Mayorga Out, Dramatic KO

Most exciting end to a 12th round I've ever seen, certainly the latest - 2:59 on the clock!

Mosley looked decidely average in the fight bar the 6th. Mayorga was on top pretty much throughout and I don't see how anyone could have him not winning by at least a clear margin.

Shane got lucky in the end, but to be honest it serves Margoya right for the taunting in the 11th he was giving out.

Anyone feel this was just an off night for Mosley or should he hang them up after this? He looked to be fighting the wrong fight from the start and just couldn't cope with Margoya for most of the night. Is that just one fight or is it just father time?

He just fought. I think it should be enough for him to know as well as he can, if he is ready for Margarito. He said himself, he's not getting any younger. Bernard is larger, and it may simply be easier to last longer for the bigger guys.

Spectacular KO and a good win, butMayorga won like 6 or 7 rounds of that fight, Shane looked a bit tire,slow and sloppy down the strech. he should not continue fighting. He doesnt have what it takes to beat the top welterweights any more. Still one of the best ever!!!!!!!!!!

why would margorito kill shane...hes taken harder fights before
he stopped vagas and mayorga and beat dlh at 154 so size and power advantages aint much of a problem for shane....
shane has the most problems with awkward fighters ie winky, forest...
margos straight forward simple style would have been a peice of cake for a prime shane....
but im not sure hes old body can still do it...
