Shane looked like **** tonight, but some people seem to be overrating Mayorga's performance. He was busier but he wasn't being effective really. In fact he looked desperate to steal the judging with his antics always complaining, always hugging and holding and always raising his hand up like he was doing something worthwhile, but he wasn't. He had his moments in the later rounds but overall they both looked **** and no way did one dominate the other in the scores like in some cards I'm seeing here, particularly those who had Mayorga way ahead.Comment

Close, interesting fight with a fantastic ending. That was a great KO. Mosley finally showed that he is about done though I think. He wouldn't have beat any top guys at WW or JMW with that performance. I would say it would be a good time to hang them up on a great KO win like that over a good fighter in Mayorga, instead of struggling through a couple more fights and maybe losing the ones he shouldn't.
In the middle rounds he just looked like he couldn't pull the trigger and was exhausted or dejected and every bit his 37 years. After the brilliant sixth round in which he beat the hell out of Mayorga I thought he would come out storming and go for the KO, but, he came out and hardly did anything then he did even less in the next round. It was very strange. I didn't really think his dad's corner advice was very good either.
It seemed as though he could have done what he did in the last round in any of the middle rounds especially after the sixth round. I think his body is finally giving up on him. A good time to go out on top.
Did I read someone having a score of 8-1 with 2 even rounds for Mayorga? I'm guessing it was a joke, but if it wasn't, whoever wrote it needs to make sure they actually score the punches that Mosley was landing at will throughout the early to middle rounds for Mosley and not Mayorga. You don't give points to Mayorga for taking punches.
