Why JC Chavez will never in my book be the best Mexican fighter

It depends who you ask and how old they are.
OLD School Mexicans 40-50+ will say Ruben Olivares
All the Younger Mexicans will say without a doubt Chavez.

I know that the Left hook to the body was something Olivares PERFECTED first. I love that Olivares vs Rose fight

Once while in t.j, i talked boxing with a t.j, Mexico native and to my surprising he talked about how great Jose Napoles was, how he was a great boxer and all. Surprised only because Napoles was a Mexican citizen originally from Cuba. That time i went i tried looking for Erik Morales gym, but couldn't find it.

randell schmandell, he may have given chavez two tough fights but even the greats have losses on their record. randall was a solid fighter but he never had as great of a career as chavez.

Bobby "School Boy" Chacon my all time fave had balls big enough for a Lion. He doesn't have a blemish/***** out on his record.

I am surprised you knew that, as far as he knew about his father he came got his mom pregnant and left. In This Corner a great boxing book, he was funny he said all he knew of Mexico was cowboys and Cactus and horses from Movies. He went to Mexico City and said he was freaked out because of all the cars he wasn't used to seeing.

I would go with Sanchez as the greatest. But JCC has to be up there, regardless of biases (I'm not particularly a fan but everyone has to give credit where it's due). Zarate I feel is quite underrated.

The point was that was a ***** move not his skillls I mean I could have figured that out in third grade. My Grandmother and her family came from Sinaloa, so this is no race issue. It is about Balls, A Mexican fighter never quits I think I have heard that a few times.

...who in the hell is the number 1 Mexican fighter if it aint Chavez? Sal Sanchez? no offense to him, but he didnt really have the career Chavez had(sadly), although if he had lived he probebly would have eclipsed him.

and Randall would have lost the first fight if so many points werent taken away from Chavez, so it happens.
and if you didnt know, Chavez was on his way out and at his 3rd weight class. its funny how a fighter can fight in one of the most brutal ways ever, but one action can brand him a 'coward'. amazing.

Randall was actually a hell of a fighter who really burnt out his career in his wars against the hard hitting Coggi, but overall he really wasnt better than Chavez, and probebly would have lost both fights if Chavez had fought him a few years earlier.

I don't like JCC and almost always cheered against him. He is a prick. His win over Taylor was bogus and he did quit against Randall.

All that being said, I'd rate him as the best Mexican fighter ever.
