    America's still the best

I've seen some posters talk about their respective countries being a "powerhouse" of boxing well lets use the consensus rankings to see who really is still the best breeding ground for fighters.

Heavyweight - Wlad Klitschko - Ukrainian
Cruiserweight - Steve Cunningham - American
Lt Heavy - Joe Calzaghe - British
Super middle - Mikkel Kessler - Danish
Middleweight - Kelly Pavlik - American
Jr middle - Vernon Forrest - American
Welter - Antonio Margarito - born in California
Jr Welter - Ricky Hatton - British (Might be the American Malignaggi soon)
Lightweight - Nate Campbell - American
Super feather - Edwin Valero - Venezualan
Feather - Chris John - Indonesian
Jr Feather - Israel Vasquez - Mexican
Bantam - Hozumi Hasegawa - Japanese
Jr Bantam - Cristian Mijares - Mexican
Flyweight - Nonito Donaire - Phillipino
Jr fly - Ivan Calderon - Puerto Rican (the 51st state? lol)
Straw - Roman Gonzalez - Argintine

So there you have it gentlemen America still has 5 American born fighters at the top of their divisions and if Paulie wins it will be 6. But I'd say 5/17 isn't bad considering the closest country to that is mexico with 2 or 3 if you include the American born Margs who fights for that country. And before you argue about Margs I made it clear he is an American born fighter that fights out of mexico. Who's the best?

How is it in my eyes only??? I've listed the fighter generally regarded as the best in their weight divisions. I'm not being biased with this I look at different ranking lists and used them to compile the list. This is not my list, if it were I'd probably have Guzman and not Valero as the best 130 lber. This is as unbiased as it comes IMO.
