                    1. Gene Tunney "The Fighting Marine" (81-1-3, 48 KO).

                    He took time off early in his career to join the marines and fight in World War I. He invented some new defensive techniques, which boxers such ad Ali used years later. Tunney was virtually invincible at light heavyweight - he had only one loss to another all-time great, which he avenged three times.
