I think Williams is the superior fighter. Kessler is put on a pedastool by Calzaghe's fans to prop Joe's record up. I think Williams pounds the Dane's face in and has him stumbling around the ring saying "ak ak indeværende neger er barsk konkurrencedygtig!".
LOL.
Those translationmachines are pretty bad. Let me translate to english what you said: Oh dear inside negro is tough competitive.
On topic I'd say Williams is demolished inside 6 rounds.
Chinny Mundine went 12 rounds with Kessler says a lot about his “Power”
Not an accurate comparison. Mundine is quite skillful and fought defensively. Mundine wanted Kessler to go all out attacking so that he could counter-punch. Kessler instead outboxed him without lunging in or being reckless.
Williams, unlike Choc, throws a lot of punches and is not that skillful (at least on the evidence of the first Quintana fight. I find it hard to judge much other than his power and accuracy from his last two fights).
Williams would leave himself open to someone who throws hard, fast, powerful shots. Kessler, unlike Williams, knows how to actually outbox someone with a good jab and movement.
Williams has 2 notable wins:
1. Over Quintana where he KO'd him in the first round. Kessler has never been down pro or am and I don't see him suddenly being bombed out by a welterweight.
2. Over Margarito, where he moved around the ring a lot and threw weak pitty-patty punches most of the time. Kessler is faster than Margarito. He's more skillful and he has a much better jab and boxing brain. Throw in the fact that a 168 Williams moves around the ring slower than a 147 Williams, and I don't see anything in his past fights that makes a victory likely.
I'm not trying to exaggerate how good Kessler is here. I think that Dawson, Tarver, Calzaghe, Hopkins, Pavlik, Abraham and maybe a few young prospects all beat Williams.
