Look at what he just done at MW and he still looked skinny, maybe LHW is his perfect weight class. He would be tanked up and ripped up and fast as hell.

It's the other way around actually, the more muscle you have the more speed you lose since muscle weighs more than fat. In this case Paul gained more power on his punches because the added weight allowed him to conjure up more energy from the ball of his feet when he sat down on his punches.

Roy looked fast at HW because he was naturally the smaller man and Ruiz just sucked.

That might be true for other boxers, but it's down to Paul Williams body type.

A 350lbs Paul Williams would be the fastest athelete on the planet and if you don't know that you don't know anything about boxing. Period.

No depends what type of training you do when gaining muscle. RJJ for the Ruiz fight used weights, doing explosive reps which helped increase his fast twitch fibres hence increased his hand speed. If you did weight lifting you would develop muscular strength and it would slow you down. Runners for example add muscle to run faster and develop it in a way which it helps them take of faster.

he beat a middleweight bum like he was supposed too.

light heavyweight ???? His style doesn't suit the higher weight classes. The height and reach advantage he has at 147 wouldn't be effective at 168 or higher because he wouldn't be fighting smaller guys. he would be fighting guys who match him with size.

And by the way being tanked and ripped up doesn't make you a better stronger fighter.

When I read the first reply to this thread I thought Flawless was in on the joke. Then with horror I realised he was serious.

His style doesn’t suit higher weight when he just KO a MW in one round. At 168 he would be stronger, faster and more powerful and would be able to take punches,

Williams would be ripped up and tanked if he fought at LHW and SMW. If he ripped up he would be stronger means being able to hit harder and faster
