If Gomez was two weight classes bigger than Cotto and Cotto came out and starched him in one round then yeah the comparison would be good. Paul was basically thought of as a slap fighter before these last two fights and now he's got two first round KO's in a row. I know Kolle isn't the greatest, but he's a MW.
