THAT is what should be The STANDARD for VERSUS FIGHT CARDS

That ****** Top Rank deal was horrendous, i hope to god they dont renew it.

They have some terrific cards on the line up:
Orlando Salido vs. Cristobal Cruz with Demetrius Andrade (US OLYMPIAN) pro debut on the undercard

Sakio Bika vs. Peter Manfredo Jr.
with Grady Brewer vs.Corneluius "K9" Bundrage, on the undercard. WHich is a fantastic card


And tonights card was exactly what they should be doing. Were the matches lopsided? yea, but they werent complete mismatches on paper. And i understand that promoters need these exciting KO performances to get the ball rolling.

I mean look at the forum. Everyone wants to see Williams again. It was a very big success for Williams team.

I mean, they had James Toney in the crowd, getting interviews and stuff.

It was exactly what a network like Versus should be to boxing. That network that will buy fights 12x a year, that are too good for espn2, but not good enough for HBO or showtime.

i thought it was great. 5 fights total. I mean on premium networks if both fights ended like they did tonight you would have had less than 10 minutes of boxing.

It was the best card I can remember on Versus, losing that deal with Arum is the best thing that could have happend.

yea thats a card that versus is apparently going to pick up for december. thats an outstanding fight. thank god they getting it.

nah Mundine got scrapped from the card. He was replaced with GRADY BREWER vs K9 BUNDRAGE.

Which is a decent fight. Good main event though IMO. a real sleeper hit

uve never worked for a promotional company a day in your life. u have no idea what ur talking about.

These are the types of cards boxing thrives off of. Fact is, niether figh twas a mismatch on paper, and Williams opponent was very resiliant. Did they turn out to be mismatches? yea, but they arent the promoters fault.

The PURPOSE of this card, was the get Williams more fans, and have more interest in his next fight. same thing with Arreola. The card was a very good success.
