Mayweather also handled it like a man shook his hand and told him he'll get his chance and that it will be bigger and better down the road.(we'll see if it happens). Arum not margarito presented a fight to mosley and his camp and they turned it down and that was that. They also went to Winky for a fight and winky turned it down and that was that. Margarito never made any claims towards fighters or claimed himself as the most feared man on the planet. When asked about floyd after the cotto fight he simply said floyd is now retired so he probably wont come back and fight me. When asked about a DLH fight he simply told de la hoya "you wanted the winner of this fight well here i am, hopefully you keep your word". Margarito continued to fight top 10 ww's to work his way up. It's just annoying seeing williams fighting at ww and claiming no one wants to fight him when quintana wants a rematch. To top it off the dude should stay at mw and call out people there, im sure he'd have no problem landing big fights there, but he chooses to starve himself and fight at 147 so that's his problem. If you walked out to your hood and seen this 6-3, 6-4 dude calling out 5-8, 5-9 dudes claiming he is the **** cause he'll knock them out are you really going to be impressed?

I see your point but you left out the part of him(Margorito) begging for a fight with Oscar...That may be true about Arum hyping up Margorito by calling him " The Most Feared Man in Boxing" but the point still remains is that Margorito is just as guilty as Willliams in this matter (begging for a big money fight with De La Hoya) Me as a fan I understand that fighters try to make the most out of their career....Hell, everybody does that if they have a career...My only problem is with fans that act is if Williams is wrong for trying to fight the top ranked WW...

To answer your question about the height...Lets be fair here...Isnt Margorito a big WW himself (5'11 compared to 6'1 isnt much of a height difference)?...So again when has boxing been divided up into height divisions...If you can make the weight, whats the problem with him fighting at WW. Size and height doesnt always give the upper hand in a fight...its advantage for some while it may be someone's downfall..Look at Tyosn he was knocking 6"+ niccas out...So I have to disagree with you there...Another tall fighter for his weight class was Tommy Hearns. Sugar Ray Leonard didnt seem to be bothered by Hearns height...He did what he had to do to win.

You made another comment about him starving himself to make that weight. (147) dont you thinkg starving yourself would put you at a DISADVANTAGE when fighting in those smaller weight classes? You wont have all of your energy from the dramatic weight loss so I dont understand why he would starve himself to do that...He seems to make that weight just fine IMO.

williams is 6-3 with a longer reach than klitscho, fighting at ww. He's obviously shown he can make 160 as he has about 16 fights there. Boxers move up in weight to stiffer challenges as they get better. Why is williams going backwards? well of course money. and to each his own. If he can make 147 then more power to him but it's NONE of his wins are impressive at 147 for the sheer fact division are made so people the same size fight each other. Or course the loop hole is if you can make it, it's legal but it still defeats the purpose of division when people who arent suppose to be in them are in them. margarito is 5-10/5-11. That's not a real big ww. there's been numerous fighters that size in ww division for decades. Name me another 6-3/6-4 fighter with a heavy weight's reach fighting at ww. He might be the first in boxing history to have those measurements at ww. I don't dislike williams he's a cool fighter the only issue with me is im just not impressed with him when he's fighting at ww. Like i said we would laugh back in the day to see a big guy trying to fight little dudes out on the street. A guy his size was bound to hear about it and whoop his ass. If williams was fighting at 160, 168 or higher where he should be I can actually see me a fan of his, but at 147 it's kind of a shame, but if he cant hang with top ten at 160, 168, or higher then by all means you gotta make a living somehow so going down is the only option
