I've already posted an apology for this post. At that point last night I thought she was an AlT and didn't realise that it was the REAL JIn Mosley! I'm not proud of writing that now I know!!

State Athletic Commission rules stated that in the event of a knockdown, the opponent must go to the farthest neutral corner before the referee begins his count. If the fighter is fit to continue, then proper room must be given to both fighters before the fight continues.

David Mendoza didnt follow the proper actions of a ref last night. Mosley was right on top of him as soon as the ref backed away. That was pretty much a free left hook. I havent seen some bull**** like that since the 1920s.

David Mendoza shouldnt be allowed to ref anymore fights.

Who did you have winning the fight because many ringside had Mayorga up. Any kind of fix by GBP?

I just replied to this and it logged me out and i think got erased but here it goes again.......

As for the ref I think he did a lousy job the entire night. But I think he did the best he could. In my eyes he was more partial to Mayorga then he was to Shane. As for the count. I don't blame Shane for that because he is going for the kill. He has rage, frustration, exhilaration and adreneline running through his veins at a crucial moment. It would be like blaming a shark for going after blood. The ref is human and a lot was going on in the last seconds of a non conventional fight. I think he was caught up in the moment. But there are lots of way to argue win's & losses. I could say that had the ref reprimanded Mayorga for excessive holding in that round that the KO would have come sooner. Anyway you look at it is was a KO. Shane doesn't argue his losses therefore I wont argue his wins. I understand you lost a bet but give respect where it is due. Would you argue Shane not going to the corner had Mayorga not have been KO'ed?
As for who I had winning the fight. Let me first say that a fight live is completely different then on T.V. The fact that Mayorga was in the best shape of his entire career and the fact that he came in 10lbs heavier then Shane & is an ugly fighter I think Shane did the best he could. Did Shane look great in there? NO. But does anyone look great against Mayorga. Isn't that what makes him so great? You never know what will happen with him.
Shane was very frustrated with him at times and was often fighting Mayorga's fight. Mayorga tried to use his added weight to fling Shane around a bit and also held alot. But in the end Shane's punches were more accurate and also more effective.
The only way that fight was fixed by GBP is if Oscar and Bernard somehow became invisible and pushed Mayorga's face into Shane's fist.
HMMMMM........Maybe that's where they were?
Rematch? Anythings possible but I doubt it.

I would love to see Mosley-Cotto 2, I still think Mosley would give him hell. He fought great the first time, and could adapt and win a rematch!
