Does anyone think that a Brit or any other European can be a star in the states? NAZ and Hatton made a splash but fizzled.

i went to a fight party about a month ago (Affliction with Fedor) and when the topic of Pavlik came up, i was surprised that ALL those dudes knew who he was...i've never seen those clowns give instant props that fast...add to the fact that HBO is hyping Kelly as the best thing since the discovery of *******s, you've got a good formula for a rising star

kelly pavlik has a dull personality.it's gotta be somebody with a nice smile (i.e.leonard,de la) in the lower weights, or a terrifying mofo at heavy.i can't really think of anyone at the moment.

Pavlik has the best chance if he keeps his reputation intact and manages to become 'the best boxer in the world' at his chosen weight class. He has everything needed to attract casual fans.

Unfortunately he will likely face one of Abraham, Kessler or Calzaghe so this will be difficult. Assuming he gets past Hopkins.

Never. Margarito will never be big outside of Mexico and the hardcores. Marquez and Vazquez?

I say Demetrius Andrade, Danny Jacobs, and there's a lot of potential in the amateurs. Wait 10 years, you'll see a lot of stars.

Right now we just need the old guys to start retiring, so by the time De La Hoya, Holyfield, Hopkins, and Roy Jones retire in about 10 years you'll see a whole new class.

I don't think there is one fighter than can draw a million ppv buys once Oscar is gone.

Pavlik is going to be an earner that can pull some weight, but he is not from the Midwest. He is from Ohio, thats east.

To answer the question, it has already been shown. Hatton is the top dawg next to Oscar. I thought Mayweather showed you that. Hatton brings in more "cheez" than anyone else at the moment, but he will have to continue winning to keep it up.

I think Vitali had massive selling power and could recapture that if he comes back to HBO PPV. Roy Jones and Pacman are always going to do well too.
