John-Juarez, Katsidis-Chavez Doubleheader in The Works

I'll pick Chavez to beat Katsidis. I just have no respect for Katsidis's game... he hasn't shown me much so far.
This card isn't quite as exciting as the article makes it out to be. The fact that John-Juarez would be at 130 takes away the luster of a championship fight. That and the fact that John likely wins this (I have never even seen him, but... he seems to be top level) because Juarez has never shown (other than the first Barrera fight that was 100% erased in the rematch) that he can hang with the top fighters.Comment

katsidis should take this one
as long as he doesnt make a spur of the moment decision to try and outbox chavez he will win...hes a brawler and he needs to use that...i used to think he should try and box but **** it, hes got a reasonable chin (maybe a bit worse now though), lots of pop and a huge heart...hes best chance at getting a belt is to brawl
and drop that ****in trainer lol he needs to hook up with a good U.S trainerComment

Agree with Scott that if Kats can't beat Chavez he won't get much done. Chavez has been fighting for a long time now and has been in many tough fights. He is still good and is still a big name to put Kats back in the fold, but if he can't win ... Saying that though, I actually think Chavez is the perfect opponent for Kats to look good against and get some great experience while doing it.
Chavez is very experienced and will have some tricks up his sleeve that Kats will have to overcome to win. Nonetheless, he has slowed somewhat but he still punches a lot and comes forward nonstop. Kats will have to do very well to get back up there and in this fight he has to look good. I think he does have the tools to beat Chavez, maybe not easy, but quite well. I think this will be a great fight.
Even with his brainless trainer he should have enough to hit Chavez with a lot and maybe even really hurt him. If he wins it will be a good win, and of he can knock Chavez out it will be a great win for him. He's got to get rid of that ****ing trainer soon though otherwise forget winning any big fight that is close.
John vs Juarez.....
It could turn out to be a pretty good fight. No one really knows what John has to offer apart from his win over Marquez, which was as much about Marquez fighting like a dog than John beating him. Still, he did win and it takes a great fighter to beat Marquez, even if he is fighting like ****e. This will be one of those fights that could unfold many different ways. It could turn out great or it could be a complete fizzer.
Back to Kats though, if he doesn't win this fight, I'll be horrified. He's getting some great chances and this should probably have been the fight to take after the Casa fight instead of the Diaz one. Get some experience and confidence back and also a big name along with some momentum. He got kind of screwed in the Diaz fight in terms of money etc, and took a very minimal % of the purse. I don't think that was the greatest move by his management. Anyway, water under the bridge. He will now have to make the best of this opportunity and take it a bit slower after this fight as well. Get some similar fights to build up the resume, experience, confidence and hopefully tighten up his style a bit before moving back into the fights he previously lost. He has what it takes to beat the top guys but he needs to tighten everything up. He also desperately needs new management who will make him get a new god damned trainer! I can't stand that moron. If he loses this fight and his career goes down the drain, a large part of it will be that ****ers fault in the corner.

Man, he just needs to hook up with a trainer that has a brain! That guy is about as clueless as a trainer could possibly be. How he got to the level he did with him in the corner is beyond me.Comment
