John-Juarez, Katsidis-Chavez Doubleheader in The Works

BoxingScene.com has been informed that an explosive doubleheader may possibly come off in January, in Texas (almost certain to be Houston), with HBO televising. The co-feature is sizing up to be a crossroads lightweight battle between former champions Michael Katsidis (23-2, 20KOs) and Jesus Chavez (44-4, 30KOs). [details]

Katsidis-Chavez would be a very good fight if Katsidis doesn't decide to try to outbox Chavez, which probably wouldn't work.

True. If Mike can't beat Chavez with all the mileage he is carrying he really is nothing more than a good club fighter.

Katsidis should almost certainly beat Chavez, but it should be a good fight!

Is there any news if Katsidis dropped his ******ed trainer? He could lose this one if he has that ******ed trainer on his side.

I dont get how they would set up John-Marquez considering Marquez is at 135with a possible move up to 140 to fight hatton in the future. John is still at 126 who knows if he even climbs to 130. I would love to see it though a very possible redemtion for JMM who would probably ko john at 135.

Gbp, wants to use Katsidis for all he's got left which probably isn't much not with these tough fights one after another. Gbp, i seriously don't think they know what they are doing, besides just putting up names vs. names. Or could be Delahoya thinks all his fighters should be like him and fight the top fighters all the time. The John fight is not a good fight for Juarez and i think Juares still needs to work on some things before taking on John. Gbp, sign with them and be ready to fight top fighters one after another good think there fighters are eating wheates. On the other hand its good match up for use fans. Matchs like this makes me think Gbp is trying to hard to sell fights instead of making better fighters.
