But maybe i misunderstood the question cause i also thought about putting in R.Lopez but those his **** is more text book, but its supposed to be simple as with B. Leonard. But i think i may have not understood the question.
What comes to my mind when I read the question......was limitation.

There was nothing special about Monzon. He wasn't a big guy, he wasn't a very strong guy, he wasn't fast..........he just got the job done.

Joe Louis is a great example of this also.

There wasn't anything special about him. He wasn't that great of an athlete......he wasn't known for his speed......all he literally had was right hand punching power and it was extremely predictable.

I think what made Larry Holmes very unappreciated is that he was very simple and direct when he fought. He didn't bring trills as a fighter.

            Well lanky I guess.

But his work ethic was the reason he was such a great Champ.

If we're talking limitations then we're talking Ivan Caldron, Chris Byrd, Jake Rodriguez, Gabriel Ruelas, Chiquita Gonzlez, each had a limition but they had other attributes that helped them in boxing.

Ingemaar Johannson was effective and very very basic-but not great.
                Hmmm....
How about Middle Weight king Tony Zale?

Few of them fighters "kept it simple" Joe Louis didn't keep it simple watch this:

Lennox, Evander, Hagler, Hearns are some of the best fighters that "kept it simple"

Maybe im wrong but Louis was a great combination puncher he could put them together like none at times, not like today were few fighter throw in 4,5,6 combos Louis did this along with other great atributes he had. I think you're underestimating his timing and how he didn't telegraph his punchs but keep them hidden then bamn, let a right hand go or combos and out of the blue his opponets didnt' see them coming. So, i'd disaggree with Louis, though now im back tracking but yes, at times he made it look simple.
