Don't get me wrong folks, I don't like Brock/Randy either. It should be Randy/Nog. I'm just trying to explain the thinking behind it.

Dana is using the match to push forward Super Saturday. Why not prolong the wait for Randy/Nog by putting on a Heavyweight tornament. That's what Dana's doing.

Go luck to both matches either way.

If we're going to fault wrestlers for joining pro wrestling because it pays big money and there's no professional organization for his type, we must also fault gymnists for doing acrobatic shows or figure skaters for doing ice shows.
There's a reason why there's no profesional wrestling because it's boring as ****. The ufc is entertaining but people like you want to make their skill comparable to profesional boxers and that's simply not the case. In boxing you can't take a bum like Kimbo or a wwe superstar train them for 2 years and hype them up to be the next big thing. Boxing takes years upon years to master it's not something that you can just pick up.

MMa is the latest trend, the people handling it are doing a great job of marketing and hyping it up. But that's all it is, marketing and hype.

First off, please stop comparing Kimbo with Brock.

Second, a lot of elite martial artists have short training spans before competition because half of what they need to do is already ingrained in the fighter. When Bas Rutten started, he was a high ranked Muy Thai fighter. He studied and worked on Catch wrestling day in day out for three years before competition and continued to improve while fighting. That's why school are more open to elite types then totally green dudes Green dudes would take a whole lot longer to train and to go through the amateurs.

Third, The early version of PANCRASE was exciting Pro Wrestling.

Kimbo and Brock are one in the same two overhyped fighters that are just there because of hype and marketing. Brock last fight was total **** a boring takedown fest with that could have gone on for days because all Brock can do is pin people to the ground. At least Kimbo actually hurts people.

The real reason for the short training span is that is much easier to be succesfull at mma than it is in boxing. You don't need to be good particulary at anything but just knowing how to do enough of everything will get you by. Ground and pounding some one on the ground doesn't take to much skill so wrestlers go to that and with the mediocre striking going all strikers really need to do is learn how to keep it on the feet. How can you explain that a mediocre striker like Chuck Liddell could spend so much time at the top. I'll tell you how, weak competition, wild haymakers, small gloves and decent takedown defence.

Pancrase was ****. MMA's downfall will soon begin, more and more fighters are starting to protect themselves and more fights are going turning into 15 minute ground stuggles than actual fights. The shock value is starting to wear off, soon mma will start losing the mainstream popularity that it has gained.

What a douche, you have no reasoning or arguments against what i posted. You answered absolutely nothing and then try to act like Mr. Know it all. I'm sure you'll be getting a lot of PMs.
