Joe C had more mportant business to do wit Roy. And Froch shouldn't be bitchin about Taylor fightin Lacy. He'll have an easier time gettin the belt without havin to fight taylor, and he'll have a bargaining chip for when it is time to make that fight.

The elite fighters aren't avoiding Froch, they're avoiding the small payday he would offer.

And before someone comes back with the cliche, "Well how can he make a name for himself if no one will fight him," don't blame the top guys for that. Blame the guys who are also in Froch's pay grade who should be fighting it out amongst one another for a chance at the top. Inkin. Miranda. Green. Ward. Zuniga. Etc.

This is a moot issue now though; Froch gets an easy shot at a belt via Jean Pascal and should be able to get better fights in 2009.

Froch can **** hard but he is technically very weak. (compared to elite fighters anyway)

He is going to be in with a punchers chance of dropping any of the top guys at super mid but I don't fancy his chances of consistently beating elite fighters. He would be worked out after a few rounds and would end up getting pounded on.

If he lands one of those uppercuts on any of the top guys they are going down though. (They won't be punch bags like the bums he has already fought though)

As was pointed out above, even Froch's power (his most hyped and possibly asset) might be a myth. He pounded on Rybacki, a polish schnitzel vendor who took the fight with two days notice, for 4 rounds and didn't put him on the canvas. The ref stopped the fight because he was taking a beating and couldn't defend himself, but despite uppercut after massive uppercut by Froch, the guy stayed on his feet.

That could be a bad sign for Froch, because without KO power he doesn't stand much of a chance at beating any of the top guys at 168, who should all outbox him with relative ease.

Seriously, who the **** would want to fight Froch? If you beat him you gain nothing, and despite being very beatable, he has some serious power making him a risk for anyone.

                  Avoided man and rightly so.

I wish pascal didn't have a glass chin, if he didn't then he'd be the one to expose carl froch. Ashame, froch is going to ko Pascal.

You're way overrating his power, he has power and thats his best asset but you're making him sound like hes superman when it took him 5 rounds to get a completely shot Robin Reid out of the ring with him. Most of Froch's ko's came against old man and bums

                      ?

He's ended more than one fight with just a single punch, and just about every fight he's won by KO or TKO he's had the opponent seriously rocked. Ried only lasted that long because his fight plan was to hold on every ten seconds and take a knee every time a semi-decent punch landed. I don't think I am overrating his power at all. I never said anything about him being superman-like so I don't know why you jumped to that conclusion however.

I think Calzaghe, Taylor, Kessler and Bute would all take care of him, some more easily than others, but he has the power to hurt any of them if they allowed him to get his offence going. The point I was trying to make is that none of them would gain anything from fighting him right now, so why bother?
