Get real man! Hopkins was doing the counter punching and still lost, know why? Very few punches due to his age he had to preserve himself for 12 rounds. In Roy you have an even less active boxer with only slight better accuracy going for him, compared to Hopkins... On top of that, his defense is the worst of the two 40 year olds. Notice the trend here? Joe Calzaghe goes for the non punching oldies type. Go Marciano! I mean Joe Calzaghe

Not trying to defend Calzaghe or anything, but Jones is no walk in the park at any point in his career, including now. His style is a little harder to crack than Pavlik's. Joe deserves credit for the challenge no matter what you say.

Also, Maciano's "over the hill" opponents were very much "live" contenders for the title even though they were on in age a little. They would have beaten any other of the top HW's in the same fights. Marciano deserves respect as well.

with how past it Roy Jones is now they should let him use steroids not that it would make much of a difference, its been proven time and time again that steroids dont make a huge difference in the actual ring. its all about chin and movement, well placed punches. i loved that quote by merchant in the DLH-Vargas fight. "Vargas might have had a 6 pack but he didnt have a 6 pack of a chin" or somethin like that im sure if im wrong someone will correct me. but yea i dont see anyway roy jones wins this fight, i would normally root for him but i really wanna see and holding hope for Calzaghe-Pavlik so go Calzaghe!
